I think the band played with Jefferson Airplane and prpbably Butterfield Blues Band...earlier that week I saw the band at cafe Au Go Go and I think it was a late afternoon show......remember Pigpen played a full B-3 organ...I was close to him, not sure he was even on the small stage.....Pig looked hung over and had problems lighting a Pall Mall........does anyone have clear memories of that week? P.S. They traveled cheaply - I think they stayed at the Albert Hotel, whereTim Buckley lived..a really really cheap place......
