Hey Mary: did you get A's in geography class?
The backdrop in the photo above does resemble one from the 5/9/87 show shot that is on this website. I see that it is not too far from Monterrey, a place I've never been to (yet). Could you really get calamari there?

I remember, though only vicariously as I am not a fan of calamari.
Monterey definitely worth a visit. My memories of Laguna Seca are about equal parts fabulous music, great but dusty setting, and lots of people/logistical hassles. I always did wish they'd play there again.
